The Ram Mandir stands tall with a height of 161 feet, stretching across 380 feet from east to west and 250 feet from north to south, all crafted in the traditional Nagara style.

Rooted in North India, the Nagara architecture of Ram Mandir boasts high pyramid shaped Shikhara towers adorned with Kalash, creating a visually stunning and culturally rich design.

Construction Details of Ayodhya Ram Mandir

One of the most intriguing aspects of this Ayodhya Ram Mandir lies in its construction. Notably, no iron has been used throughout the entire structure.

The main building is constructed using pink sandstone from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, totaling a colossal 4.7 lakh cubic feet.

The woodwork is crafted from premium teakwood sourced from Maharashtra’s jungles, while granite from Telangana and Karnataka forms the foundation.

The flooring materials are sourced from Madhya Pradesh, creating a harmonious blend of materials from different regions.

To combat ground moisture, a 21-foot-high plinth made of granite has been constructed for Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

The foundation itself is a robust 14 meter thick layer of roller compacted concrete (RCC), providing stability and a distinctive appearance resembling artificial rock.

The thre story Ram Mandir boasts 44 doorways, 392 pillars, and is adorned with intricate sculptures and reliefs. The innermost sanctum, known as the Garbhagriha, houses the deity, with the idol of Shri Ram Lalla in the main sanctum sanctorum of Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

The first floor features a Shri Ram Darbar, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the Shri Ram Mandir.

The Ram Mandir is divided into five Mandaps or Halls, Rang Mandap, Sabha Mandap, Kirtan Mandap, Nritya Mandap, and Prarthna Mandap.
