About BAPS Hindu Temple
The journey towards the construction of the BAPS Hindu Mandir began in February 2015 when Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, generously gifted a plot of land in the Abu Mureikhah district.
Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone in February 2018, and subsequently, the UAE government allocated an additional 13.5 acres, making it a total of 27 acres. Construction commenced in December 2019, resulting in a majestic structure with impressive features:
